Kate Meza
LCSW, MSW
My passion lies in helping each individual feel seen, valued, and accepted for who they are. I strive to support people in discovering a sense of joy, purpose, and meaning in their lives. I believe we all share a fundamental need to be heard and understood, and I approach my work through a person-centered lens that emphasizes advocacy, empowerment, and genuine connection. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve worked across a range of settings including residential programs, transitional housing, respite care, outpatient therapy, and community-based services for adults, youth, and families. My areas of focus include trauma and PTSD, anxiety and depression, parenting support, relationships, life adjustments, LGBTQIA+ challenges, gender dysphoria, and grief and loss. I am deeply inspired by the words of Brené Brown: “Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.” When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children. I love being in nature, whether hiking, gardening, or playing sports with my kids. I also cherish meaningful conversations with close friends and unwinding with a good comedy movie. At the heart of my work is a deep belief in the resilience and inherent worth of every person. Healing begins when we feel safe enough to show up as our authentic selves, and it’s an honor to walk alongside others as they do this brave work. My hope is to create a space where compassion, curiosity, and acceptance allow growth to unfold naturally--where each person can rediscover their strength, reconnect with joy, and move toward a life that feels whole and true to who they are.
